Since this book was suggested by someone I respect, I am curious to see what I will learn from it. My book stack always contains several books of a religious or spiritual nature, so this isn't a stretch. I confess to being dubious about the title, however. What does O'Murchu mean by "faith", adult or otherwise? I am hoping it does not mean subscribing to a set of beliefs that someone else has compiled. Other bloggers will soon see that I'm not very good at that!

In the past few years I have had a renewed interest in studying what others say about faith and living in faith, an interest I first pursued in the 1960's. I am anticipating this opportunity to continue to explore and reflect.

My thoughts and expectations of this summertime blog dovetail Doug Graydon’s sermon of June 23.

When I was a young person the summer months meant that each Sunday fell within the season of Trinity. The liturgical colour for the season was green and this was expressed in all the church hangings. My young mind related the colour green to growth both horticultural and spiritual. So I expect this blog will result in a varied and perhaps an unexpected harvest.
